Being Human : Being Deceptive

From the very olden times, man has this zeal of looking good. He wants to look smart, look attractive rather. He tries to do anything and everything to attract people towards him. And as it is said that “first impression is the last impression”, he does not want to spoil this first opportunity. Earlier a king was expected to be smart looking and physically fit, today everyone wants to be with a person who looks good, even companies try to hire people who look good so that they may get glamour into their organisation. It was always about the external beauty and it is about the same today also. How do we say that we are evolved over the period of time? We still desire the same what we desired thousands of years ago.

This urge of being attractive has undergone a continuous evolution from looking attractive, to looking smart and now to be different. Not everyone can look attractive because this is what they are born with. So now what we try is to be different. We have different hair styles, we have different dressing senses, and we use different gestures to express thoughts and feelings. And being different can also shed the barrier of being born with something because this is what we can acquire or learn with time. Does not it reflect the very fact that we just want to be different, we are actually obsessed with being different, different from the species of the same race that we belong to.

On the contrary, from the childhood we are taught about the inner beauty of a man, he should be honest, morally sound, ethical etc. Are not these the secondary traits? Why a child is not taught how to look good? How to talk in a way to impress others? How to attract others? Why he is always told to concentrate on the things that are secondary and which would not help others to form the first opinion about that person? Why he is not taught how to be different?

In my opinion we can conclude this behaviour as - art of deceiving. Isn’t it what a man always learned and wants to learn? He wants to portray what he is not. He wants people to think about him what he wants them to. He does what others like, what others expect him to, what others desire out of him. He avoids doing what he wants because that may go against the expectations of others and this would spoil his image. He always tries to probe into what others want him to do. A child does what his parents want him to do, a student does what his teachers want him to, an employee does what his employer wants him to do, a priest does what society expects him to.

We say we are losing our originality, I ask did we ever have it? When did we do what we wanted to? When was our actions result of our own desires? When did others not influence us? When was the time when man was on his own with his own desires in his own world? Why do we run away from the truth? Why do we pose to be what we are not?

CHILDREN OF LESSER GOD

“A millionaire dead is worth more than a poor still alive.” We all are equal, God gave everyone exactly equal i.e. two eyes, two ears, two hands, two legs etc. But he differentiated by giving everyone different mother. Do you find it justified that a child born to a beggar is same as the child born to Ambani? On what basis do we say that we all are equal? Not every one of us gets the opportunity to study in a reputed convent (some do not even know how to write their name), not every one of us gets an airline as a gift on 18th birthday (some unfortunates do not even know when they were born), not everyone of us have a choice which dress to wear today (some do not even have enough fabric to cover their body), not everyone has a menu to order for their meals (some feel blessed and thank god to give them a meal in one day). Why do we act like hypocrites and go on telling this absolute lie to everyone that yes we all are equal, why? We give examples of Abrahim Lincoln, A P J Abdul Kalam, Michael Faraday etc. to justify that even those who have will to do something can achieve what they want. Do you really think so? Ask a rickshaw puller, a beggar, a labour ask them how hard they work with no fail just to provide their families the food, the cloth and the shelter. Let us talk about something that is very own of each soul, Dreams, not even dreams of a poor person and a millionaire are same or equal. One dreams to have a square meal and earn enough so that his children go to a school but the other thinks how to increase the gap between him and the former. Dreams are weirdest imagination of ours but they are also not equal, there lives a whole world between the dreams of a beggar and a millionaire.

Let us forget what God gave us, let us see what we gave to this world and to each other. I think we as a human race must be having the widest metrics to differentiate between people, we have race, colour, caste, sect, country etc. We made these differentiators and practised them for centuries and then suddenly when we do not have anything better to do, let us talk about equality. Our constitution says every citizen of India have Right to Equality. Dr. Ambedkar it was your wisdom that that you saw it was needed but don’t you think it is easier said than done. Every day in newspaper we read news that a man killed family and then himself. Why do you think anyone will do that? A man does that when he sees all the ways but one in his life are ceased and he opts for that one way. If Amitabh Bacchan coughs it becomes a headline but a poor man dies without anyone noticing as if he had no identity in this world, it does not really matter when he is alive or dead. What kind of life are we all living? How can we live such a fake life in which every day we wake up and tell ourselves that we all are equal and thank God for that. Why can’t we just accept the naked truth that everyone in this world is different and can never be equal. The day all of us comes at same level and become equal that will be the end of human race. Human beings are not programmed to be equal. And this is one of the reasons behind my belief that either God does not exist or if he does then he is not a fair player, he make moves to fit his interest that people continue to have faith in him. A rich man fears from God and worship him because he does not want to lose his wealth, a poor man fears God and worship him because of some other obvious reasons.

Why do we want to make everyone equal by trying to make poor more prosperous, I think it will be easier to bring equality if we try to make rich less prosperous.

ADDICTION

Everyone is an Addict. Someone is an addict of drugs, someone of food, some other of sleep etc. To be a successful person you have to be an addict, a severe addict. Hitler was an addict, Gandhi was an addict, Bill Gates is and so is Steve Jobs. To achieve something great a person should have an addiction. Motivational leaders tell that a person should have Passion, Determination, Motivation, Commitment etc to be a successful person. I ask does not “Addiction” comprises all this?

What is Addiction? It is like an involuntary action that is not in our conscious control. We do not use this word to describe the personality of a person because it is not used by this hypocrite society in a positive manner. We use this word for all the negative purposes. But we forget the very fact that every man in this society who has made a difference was an addict. Edison was addicted to experiments, Einstein was addicted to absoluteness of time, and Gandhi was an addict of Non Violence etc. Addiction is the appropriate trait a person should posses. Why don't we ask our children to be addicted? Why are students not taught to be addict? Why do we need to live a balanced life with everything under our control? God created humans as the best beings but we humans have evolved as a highly normal race, we have become addicted to ‘mediocrity’. Why do we have rehabilitation centres for addicts? Don't you think we should have rehab centres for those who are not addicts? Can you think of any one person who was not an addict and contributed to this society? I know you cannot think of even one. So why are we afraid of being addicted to anything? Humans want to live a normal life, a life that is already planned, predicted and scheduled. Shakespeare said “This world is a stage and we all are players”, true, but did he say that the theme of the play is also decided? No, he did not.

We, who say are the mightiest race on this planet rather in this universe, are the most scared souls. We are scared ourselves that is the reason we do not dare to try anything new. A just born child is the purest form of human race; he is here in this world to be an addict but as he grows this society makes this child a mediocre by constantly telling him that addiction is not good. Why do we want to keep things under our control? And the very fact is man has always failed to keep things under his control but he is such an idiot that he does not stop trying and wasting his time and energy. Should not we rather use our energy is sync with the things around us. “Kites rise high against winds, true, but only because the string is pulled in the direction of the wind.”

Addiction is a continuous crave for a thing, it needs a lot of discipline and dedication. When addicted a person has a direction to work in. He is propelled by his inner voice and knows what to do. We should not bind ourselves in the boundaries defined by the society. Why should we live a mediocre life? We are meant to do great things. So in order to achieve anything in life be ADDICTED.

“GO, GET ADDICTED!!”

"Even the Womb can be shared but not the Grave"

When I was born many people were there around me, I grew up to go to school and I had my parents, classmates, teachers with me, I grew up more and I was liked by some of my classmates and some did not like me, When into final stages of Schooling I developed close friendship with few and had friends apart from schoolmates, relatives seldom came home. When I went out of my home to study further I was on my own, it was starting of my life, my own life, I interacted with people and made new relationships, now I stand here in this world at an age of 23 with many people around me but very few with me. These few people are those who are very close to me.
Every person on this Earth has to face all this; some are so unfortunate that they live their life alone from their very birth. But this is for sure that everyone has to live his/her life alone after some point in time in their lives. Someone may be lucky to born as twins or triplets but as we grow we all get alone and when it’s time to go we lay quite in peace and alone we go deep down the Earth so in the hearts of people. We do not understand this very fact that we all go alone, leave about the things we own but also the people we love are left behind.
We should live our lives in a way that has some meaning and contribute to the evolution of mankind. After we go people just remember what we did. Mahatma Gandhi, Abrahim Lincoln, Vivekanada, Mother Teresa they all did things that changed the way world thought. These people are still remembered and will always be because they came alone and went alone but the time they were in this world they fought alone not for themselves but for others. We should do something that benefits the mass. People won’t always remember Ambanis and Fords, because what they did and are doing is for their own good. What makes you different from the crowd is the crowd itself.
Energy Conservation Law is always applicable in all the spheres of Life and Universe. The more you radiate, the more gets reflected towards you and opposite is also true. Do good to others and others will do good to you. But people here are strange; they want to be immortal but not leaving all the mortals that they possess. True that immortality means living forever but not physically but in the hearts and minds of mankind.

Life vs Man

Life is strange,
It shows so many facets to us.
Why does a man live?
When a Man is born he just wants to LIVE
As he grows,
Clouds of confusion start surrounding him.
He forgets the adage,
“You came empty handed and will go same way”.
Man is a mean animal now
Humans do not have Humanity any more.
Living beings evolve to make their lives easy,
But humans take opposite path
And evolve to make things complex.
Always trying to know the secrets of nature
And devising ways to predict future,
Man is always there to torcher,
Any and every living creature.
Take time to live,
Life has so much to give.
What matters is “Life in Human”,
And not “Human in a Life”

Principles of Life

Work towards the betterment of Mankind
Love and Mentor young
Respect and Learn from elders
Do not disturb the balance in Nature
The best Teacher : Experience
The best Examiner : Time
The best Friend : Wisdom
The best Tool : Knowledge
The greatest Enemy : Ego
The greatest Destructor : Anger
The best Religion : Work

"Where the Mind is Without Fear..."

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
by narrow domestic walls;
Where the words come out from the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into
the dreary desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by thee into
ever-widening thought and action--
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.

---- Rabindranath Tagore [Gitanjali,1910]
