“A millionaire dead is worth more than a poor still alive.” We all are equal, God gave everyone exactly equal i.e. two eyes, two ears, two hands, two legs etc. But he differentiated by giving everyone different mother. Do you find it justified that a child born to a beggar is same as the child born to Ambani? On what basis do we say that we all are equal? Not every one of us gets the opportunity to study in a reputed convent (some do not even know how to write their name), not every one of us gets an airline as a gift on 18th birthday (some unfortunates do not even know when they were born), not everyone of us have a choice which dress to wear today (some do not even have enough fabric to cover their body), not everyone has a menu to order for their meals (some feel blessed and thank god to give them a meal in one day). Why do we act like hypocrites and go on telling this absolute lie to everyone that yes we all are equal, why? We give examples of Abrahim Lincoln, A P J Abdul Kalam, Michael Faraday etc. to justify that even those who have will to do something can achieve what they want. Do you really think so? Ask a rickshaw puller, a beggar, a labour ask them how hard they work with no fail just to provide their families the food, the cloth and the shelter. Let us talk about something that is very own of each soul, Dreams, not even dreams of a poor person and a millionaire are same or equal. One dreams to have a square meal and earn enough so that his children go to a school but the other thinks how to increase the gap between him and the former. Dreams are weirdest imagination of ours but they are also not equal, there lives a whole world between the dreams of a beggar and a millionaire.
Let us forget what God gave us, let us see what we gave to this world and to each other. I think we as a human race must be having the widest metrics to differentiate between people, we have race, colour, caste, sect, country etc. We made these differentiators and practised them for centuries and then suddenly when we do not have anything better to do, let us talk about equality. Our constitution says every citizen of India have Right to Equality. Dr. Ambedkar it was your wisdom that that you saw it was needed but don’t you think it is easier said than done. Every day in newspaper we read news that a man killed family and then himself. Why do you think anyone will do that? A man does that when he sees all the ways but one in his life are ceased and he opts for that one way. If Amitabh Bacchan coughs it becomes a headline but a poor man dies without anyone noticing as if he had no identity in this world, it does not really matter when he is alive or dead. What kind of life are we all living? How can we live such a fake life in which every day we wake up and tell ourselves that we all are equal and thank God for that. Why can’t we just accept the naked truth that everyone in this world is different and can never be equal. The day all of us comes at same level and become equal that will be the end of human race. Human beings are not programmed to be equal. And this is one of the reasons behind my belief that either God does not exist or if he does then he is not a fair player, he make moves to fit his interest that people continue to have faith in him. A rich man fears from God and worship him because he does not want to lose his wealth, a poor man fears God and worship him because of some other obvious reasons.
Why do we want to make everyone equal by trying to make poor more prosperous, I think it will be easier to bring equality if we try to make rich less prosperous.
